New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reprimanded party MPs for showing poor attendance in Parliament during the ongoing winter session. He has asked them that they should be present in their respective Houses otherwise ‘change might happen’. PM Modi was addressing MPs during a BJP’s parliamentary party meeting at the Ambedkar International Center on Tuesday.
PM Modi asked MPs to attend parliament proceedings regularly
PM Modi stated that the MPs had been told to attend Parliament proceedings regularly. He added it did not appeal to him to constantly give reminders on the same issue adding that even children did not repeat something if the issue was pointed out again and again.
PM Modi is particular about how MPs should work
A few months ago the whole Union cabinet was changed and new faces had been inducted. It may be recalled that earlier too in August, PM Modi had shown his disapproval over MP absenteeism during the passage of the Tribunals Reforms (Rationalization and Conditions of Service) Ordinance 2021 in Rajya Sabha. The PM Modi is particular about how MPs should work and he applies the same principle in his own life. He tries to appease everyone in the country, irrespective of their background.
Present on the occasion
Present on the occasion were Union ministers including Home minister Amit Shah, Railway minister Piyush Goyal, Foreign minister S Jaishankar, Prahlad Joshi, Jitendra Singh attended the meeting along with BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda.
