Noida: Many state governments have decided to reopen schools and colleges from February 1, 2022. Many educational institutions were shut down amid covid pandemic and Omicron scare. But now, after seeing decline in covid-19 cases across the country, many state governments decided to reopen on February 1, 2022. Schools and colleges in states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Telangana resumed offline classes from Tuesday.

Sources familiar with the issue said that the schools across the country would reopen following covid-19 guidelines. They said parents will have to write a consent letter allowing children to visit schools and colleges in all states.

Schools reopen in Maharastra
In Maharashtra, schools and colleges in Pune district of the state also reopened today. For students of Classes 1 to 8 in Pune, the timings will be half that of the regular timings . However, for Classes 9-10, the schools will run as per the regular schedule. Colleges in the district will run as per the schedule .
Schools in MP open with 50% capacity
In Madhya Pradesh, schools in the state will reopen from Classes 1 to 12 with 50 per cent capacity from Feburary 1 onwards. The decision to reopen schools in the state has been taken after consultation with experts and after reviewing the covid-19 situation across the state .

In Jharkhand, schools and colleges in the state also reopened from today. Classes 1 to 12, schools for classes 9th to 12th will reopen in seven district from February 1 onwards including Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Chatra, Deoghar, Saraikela, Simdega and Bokaro as these districts have higher covid-19 cases .
