Who is my ideal ………
better word could be ‘ INFLUENCER’
This question has been often asked by many on different occasions more particularly select listeners from the audience during my addresses from time to time as part of open forum. Now such a query has ben raised by a friend on ‘Facebook’ through personal call.
The answer is pasted below
Four fundamentals first awakened awareness second kindliness third the ability to laugh at oneself fourth zest. These are the essential ingredients of my ‘Wholeman’ concept enshrined in’ D.I.S.H.A ‘Development through Integrated Systems for Holistic Achievement .The wholeman profile includes Physical Endurance; Emotional Maturity; Intellectual Enlightenment; Aesthetic bloom; Moral soundness; Spiritual inclination.
My mother AMMA and Father DADA JI demonstrated all these traits in abundance .Then my first English teacher Master ji Liladhar Sharma who gave me the living concept of TRANSCEDANCE of EXCELLENCE being teacher of Hindi; English; Social sciences and Physical training including Sports and Hostel warden well rounded profile !
These got concretized through my histrionic performances as ‘Ram ‘ in Ram leela and as .Krishna’ in Krishn leela at my native district Mathura in Uttar Pradesh ,India.
Swami Vivekanand ;Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and Gorbachev have influenced me for their spiritual and political thinking though I may not take them as being inclusive.
My wife Nirmal does in greater degree exemplify the requisites of being my ‘ideal’
I am what I am ! Many people came on the way ;did impress me for their respective dominating traits. Three names I recount affectionately Col PS Satsangi the founder Chairman of CSKM COMPLEX for his educational business acumen ;Principal TR Gupta Vice President of DAV Education Society for his educational adminstation and Hon’ble Ajay Prakash Shrivastava Chancellor of Maharishi University of Information Tecnology for his Team Leadership.
My readings helped me greatly in making me what I am today.
To briefly answer the query so lovinglyraised I recollect few extracts of often quoted poem ’IF’ by Rudyard Kipling………
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son
And indeed i am a Man so defined !
Thanks for raising the query to provide me due opportunity to review my past journey !
